Sea Freight
Malai Freight Forwarders Ltd will be the solution for all your Sea Freight and Air Freight Services. Our Experience proves us as the only competent freight forwarding company for your needs in Dar es Salaam with region-wide coverage and global connectivity. We have the capability of providing complete Logistics services under one umbrella and can arrange a tailor made solution according to customer's requirements or needs.
Air Freight
We handle all types of Air Freight Import and Export from any region within Dar es Salaam city and deliver to consignee door locally or export same to final destination at reasonable cost.
Our basic rates are as per below and special terms and conditions are available on request to our key customers globally.
Our Agency Fees range from: 0.75% - 1.5% of the CIF value depending on the type and size of the consignment, (Other third party charges applicable on cargo remains at cost i.e. SWISSPORT, THA, and TCFB etc).
Road Freight
We have 10 Tractor Trucks and Trailers with a capacity of carrying 22 - 26 tons, 4 Pickups with a capacity ranging from 1 to 2.5 tons each and 7 Saloon cars for office use, 15 Motorcycles provided to our port operation staff members. We provide road transport locally and freight cargo crossing Tanzania boarder to land locked countries like Lusaka - Zambia, Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi, Congo DRC, Lubumbashi, Likasi and Mozambique.
We can handle project cargo, break bulk cargo, personal effects, motor vehicle units, motorcycles to any of the above destionations.
Clearing and Forwarding
Malai Freight Forwarders Ltd offers the most affordable, timely clearing and forwarding services locally for both sea freight and air freight in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Consolidation & De-consolidation Services
We provide NVOCC / IATA approved services through our sister company M/S MALAI CONSOLIDATORS LTD in conjuction with TRA/SUMATRA who authorizes us to file sub-manifest for cargo hence issuance of Delivery Orders to key customers on time. We also handle export of cargo from Dar es Salaam to various countries globally, every 14 days.
We can therefore share profit margins on freights and destination charges in a mutually agreed ratio. We have various business partners whom we coordinate with handling consolidated cargo in cooperation with carriers who provide us with reasonable sea freight rates and equipments. We handle 4 TEUS monthly as imported cargo into Dar es Salaam for de-consolidated services.
